Newington Green Primary School is a state school in the Borough of Islington close to the border with Hackney. The school is near Newington Green roundabout and next door to the Factory Community Centre on Matthias Road.

There are 420 places in the school with 2 classes in each year group. The children in Key Stage 1 (aged 5-7 years) have classrooms on the ground floor and children in Key Stage 2 (aged 8-11 years) have classrooms on the upper floor.There is a 52-place nursery unit on the school site offering full and part time places to 3 and 4 year olds.

We also have a learning support unit, for children needing extra support. These children attend part time. The unit also supports children from neighbouring schools. The children who come to our school represent the rich variety of social and ethnic backgrounds to be found in the local community.
