Pupil Leadership
Pupil Leadership Opportunities
We believe that developing the whole child means giving every pupil the confidence to lead, innovate and advocate for their rights. Our approach to pupil leadership encourages children to take responsibility, work collaboratively and understand how their actions can create meaningful, positive change within the school and beyond.
We offer a variety of leadership roles to nurture these skills including but not limited to …
- School Council – These leaders represent the voices of their peers, influence school decisions, lead campaigns, organise fundraising, and promote key initiatives such as Anti-Bullying Week.
- Food Council – These leaders gather feedback on school lunches and work with staff to ensure meals are healthy, enjoyable, and meet pupils’ needs.
- Playleaders – These leaders from KS2 design and lead games for KS1 pupils, encouraging active play, inclusion, and positive relationships during break times.
- Lunch Bunch – These leaders help create a calm and welcoming dining environment by supporting routines and promoting good manners at lunchtime.
- Digital Leaders – These leaders assist with organising and maintaining technology, while promoting safe and responsible use of digital tools across the school.
- Rights Respecting Champions – These leaders advocate for children’s rights, lead activities linked to the Rights Respecting Schools initiative, and ensure pupils understand and value their rights and responsibilities.
- Eco Squad – These leaders inspire the school community to take eco-friendly actions, champion sustainability projects, and raise awareness about caring for our planet.
