Childcare And Clubs
Newington Green has a range of interest clubs for children to attend which take place at lunchtime or after school. They have included gymnastic, singing, netball, Spanish, football, cricket, coding, arts and crafts, and many more.
Our Governors have agreed a payment policy to make sure all pupils get access to clubs regardless of ability to pay.
Our clubs are run by our support staff, partnership organisations or volunteers. If you have any exciting ideas for developing a club, or you are a parent or member of the public who can volunteer to support a weekly club session please contact our school office. We would be delighted to hear from you!
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club is open Monday - Friday from 7:30am - 8:55am. You are only able to book Breakfast Club for the full week (you will not be charged for INSET days or school closures). The cost is a flat fee of £18 per week per child.
Breakfast Club offers a choice of cereals, toast, spreads, fruit, a safe place to socialise, enjoy board games and/or table top activities until children are escorted safely to their class lines or classrooms at 8.55am.
After school Club - Funded places
The London borough of Islington provide funded after school childcare provision.
If the household income is up to £34,999 you can access a £5 place for childcare up until 6.30pm, subject to availability of spaces
If your child receives pupil premium you can access Enrichment Clubs (excluding After School and Breakfast Club) for £1 per session.
Childcare/Clubs Policy
After School Club is open Monday to Friday from the end of your child's school day until 6.30pm.
End of school day to 4.30pm = £5.00 per day per child.
End of school day to 6.30pm= £15.75 per day per child.
Children are escorted to the After School Club by their class teacher or teaching assistant and signed into the care of ASC staff. Table top activities are available on arrival followed by a light evening supper provided by on site staff offered to the children at 4pm daily.
