The Aspiring Teachers Programme is designed to support graduates who are looking to develop their experience and skills in education, prior to teacher training. Successful applicants will be employed by Newington Green or Rotherfield for a year’s paid work experience, as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. During the year, you will be assigned a mentor and carry out a range of tasks within school, designed to prepare you for Year 2 – your teacher training.

If successful in your application, you will secure a permanent contract and kick off your teacher training in September. Spread over four terms you will develop the necessary skills, knowledge and training to become a Early Career Teacher.  The Aspiring Teacher Programme provides:
